Pakistan, Republic of Korea annual trade increased significantly to $1.555bln

Karachi,  Annual bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Republic of Korea RoK has increased significantly and currently stands at $1.555 billion.

RoK is one of Pakistan’s top trading partners, said Iqbal Dawood Pakwala Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry FPCCI in meeting Wednesday with visiting Invest Korea & Pakistan IKP delegation led by Myung Seung Jin. Pakistan exports to RoK currently are worth $737 million and imports from RoK $818 million.

Both sides discussed proposals to promote trade, joint ventures in textile, food processing, technical, technological collaborations, frequent exchange of trade delegations, promoting new products by organizing exhibitions.

Jin said IKP can give guarantee to Pakistani businessmen for business partnership, marketing, creditability for business cooperation between two countries. He said RoK delegation will visit Pakistan on 2-8 October 2012 to explore business opportunities, sign MOU with FPCCI for engineering services marketing and establishment of Private-Partnership Projects.
