No load shedding after 2017,Khawaja Asif

SIALKOT, Federal Minister for Water & Power and Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has given a deadline regarding the end of the load shedding of electricity in the country, saying that the 2017 will be the year of saying goodbye to power load shedding. He said the government has chalked out a comprehensive plan in this regard.

He disclosed this while addressing the participants of the laptops distribution ceremony held at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Saturday.

Federal Minister revealed “We are trying our level best to end load shedding and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself monitoring the program to end load shedding till 2017″.

He added that before 2018 general election,the government would be capable to end load shedding from the country.

He congratulated the students for getting laptops from his government and said, “You are the future of the country and you have to work hard for the prosperity of the country”.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif stressed the need to change social behaviors and said we should adopt tolerance because education taught us to adopt tolerance.

“Terrorism does not only belonging to the guns. It also belonged to thinking. Violence thinking should be removed as education was only way to change the thinking,” he said.

As a politicians, he said, we put allegations on each others and it was sin to level allegations on anybody.”I am strong believer of empowerment of women. If a woman economically empowered, the society would grow automatically,” he said.

He said that it is necessary for a nation to economically sovereign for making progress and prosperity.

Federal Minister said that those governments which invested in the sector of education, actually it would be invested on the future of nations.

Khawaja Muhammad narrated that he worked out a plan to expand (GCWUS) like modern universities of the world. Sialkot District Jail would soon be shifted to other place and around six acre land of jail would be given to Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS), he added.

He said that his government also established Khawaja Safdar Medication college and a proposal to set up co-education university at Sialkot also in pipeline.

Federal Minister Khawaja Muhamamd Asif has stressed upon the need of promotion of quality education, urging the teachers and parents to focus on the character building of their children, besides, providing them quality education, as the children were the future of the nation, enabling them to serve the nation and country in better way in future.

He said that the provision of the laptops to the brilliant students was the acknowledgment of their natural educational abilities by the Punjab government, saying that the laptops distribution was a step ahead towards the goal of excellence and their lucid future, which would pave their way to get the modern technology knowledge.

Khawaja Asif added that the promulgation of a single uniform education system for everyone in the country was the demand of the day and the government was actively focusing on it, saying that the educational upgradation and development was vital for social development and national prosperity in the country.

Vice Chancellor GCWUS Dr. Farhat Saleemi, MPA Ch. Muhammad Ikram, Sialkot DCO Muhammad Nadeem Sarwar, Director Colleges Gujranwala Division Ghulam Sarwar Sipra were also present on this occasion.

Federal Minister distributed 767 laptops amongst the brilliant students during this ceremony.
