Rs 1.6 bln earmarked for sports

LAHORE: Under the annual development programme, an amount of Rs 1.6 billion has been earmarked for three new and 54 ongoing development schemes of sports in the Punjab annual budget 2011-12.According to the budget report, the new development schemes include: establishment of mini sports complex at Aashiana Housing Scheme, provision of new Astroturf in Lahore and block allocation for fast moving/unfunded and new schemes.
